"Faces of women living in the war zone"--Message from Afghanistan

*Venue: Koto-ku Culture Center, Tokyo
*Content: Women under the Taliban regime were forced to wear Burka, prohibited to receive school education or work, aside from various other restrictions. However, since the Taliban regime fell, things have changed drastically. Though their lives have been controled, women are surviving in the fast-changing society. The lecture is to introduce scenes from their daily lives and what the lecturer learned from these women through talking to them.
